Ridge & Hip

The hips / ridge lines are a highly visual aspect of any roof and also a weak point in weather tightness due to their exposure to wind driven rain. Using the details displayed and a series of under flashings the ridge / hip detail provides excellent weather protection while maintaining a concealed fixings appearance.

Valley Gutter

The valley lines don’t rely on hand cut sheets as the trays are folded and locked over perfectly straight drip edge lines that run up the valley. This also seals up the end of the roof and provides superior weather tightness.

Barge

The traditional barge flashing is taken to the next level by installing under flashings on the fascia and roof for the barge to hook into so there is no fixings visible on the fascia and roof lines.

Skylight

Skylights can be finished a number of ways depending on the finished height, width & depth of them. A properly installed cricket flashing is the key to avoiding unsightly large flashings and dry pans behind the skylight.

Roof Profile

Roof profile selection will impact on the cost and finished look of your roof. Some profiles like heritage tray don’t require a substrate but certain finishing details might not be achievable as each profile has its limitations.

Flush Mounted Window

Window details if not done correctly can be both ugly and a leak point. Flashings must be layered correctly to allow moisture to run out. That is the first priority. We use a number of concealed flashings that hook into each other to provide a system that is elegant and weathertight.

Chimney

Chimney flashings are usually a mixture of basic apron flashings screwed down to the roof, in this case under flashings are used which provide a secondary waterproofing barrier as well a base for the top flashing to fold onto. This provides a clean finish with no visible screws or fixings.

External Corner

The external corner detail can be finished a number of ways, the most minimalist finish which is displayed is folding the tray in the centre and using it as the corner. This avoids flashing junctions and creates a sharp and discreet finish.

Hidden Gutter

Hidden gutters provide the water management needed to complement the roof to wall detail. The name gives it away, in that it should be hidden / hardly visible. The details we have designed achieve exactly that.

Roof to Wall

The roof to wall detail when done correctly will create the illusion of one continuous sheet that transitions from the roof to the walls. The detail however is a discreet join that requires a high level of skill to master and is architecturally stunning.

Gable Wall Cladding

The gable end detail where the roof and wall sheets meet to form a barge without any flashings is the pinnacle of minimalistic architectural roofing. It is a seamless transition between different building the faces.

Base Flashing

The base flashing provides the same protection the drip edge does at the gutter line. A perfect straight line, sealed edges closed off from the weather and vermin plus the added strength of the sheet folded over a flashing.

Drip Edge & Eave

The drip edge is a critical detail on any tray roof. The wide flat sheet pan provides little strength and
rigidity at the gutter line. By folding and closing the tray over the drip edge the roof is sealed
weather tight and protected from wind uplift while providing a clean straight line into the gutter.
